Room description
A two-bedroom flat on the north side of Newtown, with bedrooms positioned on opposite sides for privacy. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, and all shared areas are furnished—no extra furniture needed.
Location & Transport:
Conveniently located just one block from Newtown CBD, with a well-serviced bus stop nearby (routes 1, 3, and more). New World and Countdown are both within a 10-minute walk, and Pak’nSave is just over the hill in Kilbirnie. The flat is a 30–40 minute walk to the city. A budget-friendly gym with a sauna is only a few minutes away, and the Saturday fruit and vegetable market is just around the corner.
Parking:
Residential parking may be available, but this would need to be confirmed. On-street parking is a mix of residential and unrestricted spaces.
Weekly Expenses:
Rent: $162.50 (recently increased) Power & Internet: $25 Consumables (rubbish bags, toilet paper, etc.): ~$10 Total: $197.50
The Room:
The room includes a low-boy dresser, bookshelf, office drawers, lamp, smart light, and a WiFi extender. Items can be removed if not needed.
It comfortably fits up to a queen bed with side tables (a snug fit) or a double/king single with space for a desk. The room measures approximately 2800 x 2800mm, plus an 800 x 1700mm entrance area.
With two windows facing north and east, the room gets plenty of natural light. (Photos were taken around 6 PM for reference.)
If needed, I have a hatchback and can help transport smaller items when moving in.
